Characteristics You Need To Achieve Long Term Weight Loss Success

This week we had another powerful weight loss motivation webinar where we discussed the characteristics you need to achieve long term weight loss success. On our journey towards our ideal weight, we found that developing the following characteristics helped us attain the right mindset in order to achieve long term weight loss success.

Faith and Confidence – You need to have faith that a fresh approach will work and enough self-confidence to go for it.  You need faith in the process and enough confidence to take the actions that are required in order to achieve long term weight loss success.

Motivation – You need to know why you want to achieve long term weight loss success and have a strong enough emotional connection to those motivating factors to take consistent action towards achieving your goal.

Effective Communication – this is the ability to communicate with friends and family that you do not want a second portion of food or beer, in a way that they can understand and support you as a result, instead of hitting you with negative remarks or assumptions.

Know yourself – it is important to know your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to the process of losing weight and manage it accordingly.

Leadership – The better you become at something (in other words the more you practice it), the stronger your level of leadership in that area will become, this will help you gain more confidence and achieve better results in the long run.

Building your self-image to where it needs to be – Your self-image determines your behaviour and your behaviour determines your results.  In order to change your behaviour to what you need to do in order to achieve long term weight loss success, you first have to understand and then work towards the mindset you need in order to achieve long term weight loss success.

Developing your potential – achieving what you think you are capable of and then moving on to the next, bigger challenge.
